Hey there! Big news for the TMR HVRAS (Heavy Vehicle Registration Assessment Scheme) starting July 1, 2026. TMR and NHRS have been making some changes to the HVRAS forms. Whether these changes are good or bad, we're still figuring that out. But guess what? Now anyone can fill out the forms! No more trips to TMR to get your trailer or truck measured. You can do a self-assessment now. But don't worry, there are still plenty of companies out there ready to help you with the HVRAS forms if you need it.
So, when do you need a HVRAS?
It's simple! If your trailer (over 750kg ATM) or heavy vehicle (over 4.5T ATM) isn't registered in Queensland and you're trying to get it registered, you probably need a HVRAS. We've added a diagram to make it easier for you.
Having trouble with the forms?
No worries! We found a great company that can help you with all your HVRAS forms. Just head over to www.HVRAS.com.au to book your HVRAS measure up.
Where can you find the forms?
You can print them right from this link: https://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/business-industry/accreditations/heavy-vehicle-registration-assessment-scheme?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Closure-of-HVRAS-Reminder&utm_content=Just+a+moment...&utm_source=app4.vision6.com.au. It's the direct link from TMR.
We will keep you all posted and help you out with as much information as we can find as we go. Good Luck and remember to head over to HVRAS.com.au for more information or help.
